Launch of our commercial partnership with Strata Worldwide
Most recently, we celebrated the launch of our commercial partnership with mining, tunnelling and drilling technology leaders - Strata Worldwide. Strata have started installing our new communication and safety equipment into the gallery of our Underground Simulator. This life-saving equipment and technology will assist in creating a realistic underground environment, consistent with true to life mining conditions. In addition to traditional technology, Strata has also made available their cutting-edge technology for users to become familiar with the latest trends in collision avoidance and mining communication, ensuring a safe and productivity-driven working environment.
Cutting edge virtual reality system Installation
The Local Buying Foundation (LBF) has funded the installation of cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) technology, specially designed for the RCOE, by QUT Institute for Future Environments. This is one of the first multi-user VR experiences that will be provided to users of our facility, changing the way we are able to train and educate our future workforce across all industries.
Corporate Catering now available in a few clicks
Our building was designed to be accessible to our community. We pleased to announce that our new online booking system is now fully operational. With a click of a button, you can book our facilities for your next corporate venture. We’ve partnered with Byrnes Catering, to provide the option of full corporate catering as an additional service to our offerings. Whether you’re hosting a boardroom meeting, training event or team lunch, catering is now available with the click of a button.
