The Greater Whitsunday METS Sector – A Revenue Diversification Strategy is a key deliverable of the broader Decarbonisation Accelerated Project lead by Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) and the Resources Centre of Excellence (RCoE).

Local students will be given the unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at a two day program held at the Resources Centre of Excellence.

Decarbonisation Accelerated project has partnered with the Queensland Mining & Engineering and Exhibition (QME) to facilitate a one-day program focused on Mining and METS on Wednesday July 24.

Greater Whitsunday Alliance and the Resources Centre of Excellence are hosting the region’s first ever decarbonisation summit in May, to help local businesses understand their role in carbon reduction.

We’ve hit the ground running this year with a packed schedule of events and activities. We welcome new tenants; Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal and Trade and Investment Queensland to the RCOE, along with new cleanskin groups to our underground simulator.

The past few months at the Resources Centre of Excellence have flown by with a variety of exciting events taking place and hundreds of visitors passing through the facility for training, seminars, workshops and meetings.
