RCOE welcomes our new State Ministers

Resources Centre of Excellence extends a very warm welcome to our newly elected State Ministers.

“We are so pleased to see a regional appointment as the new Resources Minister, being Member for Townsville Scott Stewart, and are equally excited to see many other resources featuring so prominently with Ministers for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen; Water; and Agriculture and Fisheries,” said General Manager Steven Boxall.

From coal to agriculture, biofutures and beyond, the RCOE advocates for all resources across all industries, both mature and emerging. Our vision is to create significant regional economic value, as well as demonstrate exceptional social value in our communities - which is why it’s great to see the emphasis on state development and innovative approaches to mutually drive the resources industry forward and pave the way for the recovery of our economy.

What does this mean for our region?

RCOE will continue to facilitate effective collaborations that provide real solutions for real industry issues, including training and advanced education for new professionals across various industries. Through connecting our nation’s brightest minds in research, technology, education and METS (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services), we will effectively contribute to shaping the resources industry of the future, thus creating a global hub of higher level thinking that will accelerate innovations and products to market.

The new year brings a renewed sense of optimism as we ready ourselves to take its challenges in our stride. With exciting new projects in the pipeline, we invite everyone to join our vision in becoming a gateway for global industries to connect to the resource sector in our region and share the success of the RCOE in Mackay.
