Register now for a special BBUGS event that offers a tour Underground mine training simulator at the Resources Centre of Excellence. This tour will be part of a full day that includes technical presentations, also given later the same day.

This isn’t your typical mine tour. You’ll see ground support systems and other mining equipment displayed in an environment that simulates a real-world underground coal mine. You will also learn who uses the facility and possibly start thinking of how you and your mine or company can benefit from utilising it in the future.

Strata Worldwide products that you’ll see on the tour:

• LinkNLocks: A fully erected interlocked timber system used for temporary and permanent support within the industry, known for its simplicity and strength under load.

• RocProps: See examples of this staple form of reliable support designed to provide safe and robust performance in challenign environments.

• Refuge Chamber System: Although not a common sight at coal mines in Australia anymore, it is very common in hard rock mines. Experience what it would be like to be in a refuge chamber in a site emergency.

  10:30 – 12:00: RCOE underground mine tour, featuring Strata Worldwide product demonstrations
  12:00 – 15:00: Networking lunch and technical presentations at the RCOE.
