Expressions of Interest Now Open | Flexi-Lab Pilot Workshop

The Resources Centre of Excellence is excited to hold a Flexi-Lab Pilot Workshop during the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME) in July 2026.

This immersive experience will give students the opportunity to explore how minerals are processed using real-world equipment and industry-style systems. Participants will tour the state-of-the-art Flexi-Lab at the Future Industries Hub and take part in hands-on activities demonstrating the chemical processes used to extract and refine materials.

Designed to connect classroom learning with industry practice, the workshop will highlight:
✔ Critical minerals and their role in the future economy
✔ Sustainable resource processing and innovation
✔ Career pathways across the resources sector

We welcome expressions of interest from schools looking to provide students with meaningful industry engagement opportunities.

A workshop flyer is available to support school communications. Early confirmation of interest will assist with planning and participant numbers, with final student numbers ideally confirmed during the first week of Term 3.
