Future Ready: Exploring the Industries Shaping Greater Whitsunday

Join Young Professionals Mackay for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the Resources Centre of Excellence (RCOE), where innovation, industry and future opportunities come together.

The evening will begin with networking, followed by an overview from Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3), who will set the scene on the region's economic outlook, showcasing the exciting developments, strengths, capabilities, and opportunities positioning Greater Whitsunday for a resilient and prosperous future.

Participants will then rotate through two immersive experiences. In the Underground Mine Simulator, RCOE will showcase how innovation, technology, safety and mine rehabilitation are transforming the resources sector and shaping the future workforce. The second experience will take attendees through the Future Industries Hub Pilot Processing Plant, where Damien Russell, Managing Director of Russell Resource Group, will provide insights into emerging opportunities in the critical minerals sector and the capability being developed in our region to support future industries.

This unique experience offers a firsthand look at the projects, partnerships and technologies helping drive economic growth and diversification across the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region.
